Event: Church in the Park

Date/Time: Sunday, July 5 from 4pm-9pm

Location: Warrior’s Path State Park

Service Time: 7pm at the Amphitheater

On Sunday, July 5, we will not be having our usual Sunday morning services or kid's ministry. Instead, we will meet at Warrior's Path for "Church in the Park!" This will be church wide time of fellowship starting at 4pm with a service at 7pm at the Amphitheater, which is close to the Boundless Playground. Come and bring your family, invite your friends, neighbors and Oikos. There are many amenities at the park to enjoy together. Bring a picnic to enjoy with your family. More info and details to come. We look forward to this church wide time together at the park!

UPDATE - Food Pantry

Thank you to all who gave so generously to our food pantry! Your donations were a blessing to many individuals and families from its beginning in the fall until now. We started the food pantry as a tangible response to help provide for those in our own faith community, taking steps and putting our Faith In Action. Although our food pantry is ending at GFC, there are countless other ways we will continue living out our faith as we live and love as Jesus did!

We need to say a special thank you to Donna Brown, who stepped up immediately to serve as our Food Pantry Leader. Her love and compassion alongside of her enthusiasm and heart for the Lord and this ministry allowed us serve so many. Thank you, Donna, and those who volunteered your hours to serve in this way!

Kingsport Axmen Baseball game

Join us on Friday, June 26 as we go to the Kingsport Axmen Baseball Game! This is a UT blackout game, so wear your UT gear! The General Admission tickets are free to all GFC'ers! Bring the whole family. GFC is also using this as a night of outreach to our community, Oikos, friends and neighbors. That night the first 100 General Admission tickets will be free to the public as a gift from GFC! We have also reserved the Hot Corner Landing that has picnic tables and chairs. The game starts at 7pm. There are full concessions (prices vary) to enjoy your ballgame favorites! There's no need to sign up...just come and bring others with you and have an enjoyable night of fun and fellowship as we cheer on our local team together.

Fasting and prayer are powerful ways to seek God’s strength, wisdom, and protection over our pastors as they faithfully lead and shepherd the church. By setting aside a day to intercede, we support their spiritual well-being and surround their ministry and family with God’s grace and guidance. Commit to praying and fasting for our Associate Pastor, Andy Malcolm, his wife Julia and his daughters, Ellie & Analia while he is away on sabbatical May15-June 27.

Please see some specific areas of prayer Andy has given us to pray for:

*Lay aside ministry mindset and desire to achieve/perform

*Experience and refresh himself in his relationship with Jesus

*Increase his faith

*Plan quality time and a unique experience with each family member

*Feel rested on a regular basis – physically, mentally, spiritually

*Pray for pastoral mindset
