LOCAL OUTREACH

Our Heart for the Homeless

Through a series of divine connections and burdened hearts, Grace Fellowship has found itself in the midst of helping the homeless here in the Kingsport area. Around 2010 we began preparing meals twice a week for Hunger First due to a desire to help those in need and to be a good steward of the commercial kitchen in our facility. Eventually, a few people in our congregation connected with the vision of Family Promise and we began partnering with this ministry to quarterly host families in our facility as they wait for permanent housing. More recently, we began serving with Engage Tri-Cities as they find transitional housing, job training, education, addiction help for those trying to become productive citizens in our community.

These organizations have helped to get dozens of people into housing since the spring of 2020!

Local Ministries We Support

In order to fulfill our vision, we release people who love Jesus and others to a variety of ministries in this area, including:

Family Promise

Engage Tri-Cities

Tennessee Disaster Relief

Church Mobilization Network

Young Life

We also encourage Life Groups and individuals in our fellowship to actively be involved in ministry by volunteering with local charities, organizations, schools, and ministries that exist in our community. Our Life Groups have recently been involved with Hope House, Angel Tree, 2nd Harvest Food Bank, Family Promise, Engage Tri-Cities, a high school football and softball team and a number of local families.

If you are interested in serving with us for any of these ministries, please email us at contact@gracekingsport.org.
